Dr Samintharaj Kumar is the Founder and Group Chief Executive Officer of Nuffield Holdings, where he leads the Group’s strategic vision, growth, and clinical excellence across its multidisciplinary healthcare platforms.

Dually qualified in Medicine and Dentistry, and holding a Master of Business Administration, Dr Kumar brings a rare and integrated perspective to healthcare leadership—bridging clinical practice, operational execution, and corporate strategy. His professional experience spans both hospital-based and private practice settings in the United Kingdom and Singapore, shaping a leadership style that is grounded, pragmatic, and outcomes-driven.

In recent years, Dr Kumar has placed strong emphasis on artificial intelligence and digital transformation within healthcare. He actively drives the adoption of AI across patient intake, diagnostics, clinical workflows, and operational optimisation, viewing technology as a core enabler of scalable, high-quality, and patient-centric care. Alongside technology-led transformation, Dr Kumar leads the Group’s mergers and acquisitions strategy, with a disciplined focus on value creation, integration, and long-term sustainability. He has extensive experience in structuring acquisitions, partnerships, and joint ventures across the healthcare ecosystem, supported by formal training in M&A Success Strategies from INSEAD Executive Education. Under his leadership, Nuffield Holdings continues to pursue selective, high-quality growth across Singapore and the region.

A passionate educator and mentor, Dr Kumar regularly lectures, trains, and mentors dentists and healthcare professionals, contributing to the advancement of clinical standards and leadership capability within the profession.

As a serial entrepreneur, Dr Kumar is widely recognised for his ability to conceptualise, build, and scale new healthcare ventures, as well as for forging strategic alliances within and beyond the healthcare ecosystem. He is also a highly regarded international speaker and serves as a Key Opinion Leader for selected commercial and clinical organisations.

His professional recognitions include being conferred a Fellow of the International College of Dentists (2019), election as a Council Member of the Singapore Dental Association (2020), and achieving Diplomate status with the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (2023).

In addition to his executive leadership role, Dr Kumar remains actively involved in clinical practice at Nuffield Dental, with a focus on All-on-4 / Teeth-in-a-Day, Zygomatic Implants, Ceramic Dental Implantology, Oral Surgery, Full Mouth Reconstruction and Smile Makeovers, Gum Rejuvenation, Aesthetic Facial Rejuvenation, and Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ) Disorders.
