Dr Faisal Aziz

Dental Director, Nuffield Holdings

Dr Faisal Bin Abdul Aziz graduated from the prestigious King’s College London Dental Institute in 2014. Upon graduation he worked in Singapore’s public healthcare institutions at the National Dental Centre and Tan Tock Seng Hospital. During his time there, he underwent clinical rotations in the department of advanced general dentistry, prosthodontics, oral maxillofacial surgery, and geriatric and special needs dentistry. His work at these institutions gave him plenty of experience dealing with different dental cases, meeting patients with varying needs, and experiencing all the different facets of dentistry.

In addition to clinical work, Dr Faisal also spent some time in the Ministry of Health at the Office of the Chief Dental Officer, working as a dental administrator. His work involved writing up policy papers and proposals, research work, and drafting speeches and parliamentary replies for political office holders.

In 2017 he joined private practice and since then has travelled the world learning from international experts to hone his skillset. Some of these include Dr Christian Coachman and Dr Derek Mahoney, amongst others. His pursuit of clinical excellence has brought him to cities such as Munich, London, Shanghai, and Chicago to name a few.

Dr Faisal has a strong interest in full arch rehabilitation of the dentition with the use of dental implants, orthodontics, management of sleep related breathing disorders and multi-disciplinary care integrating oral health related diseases with the overall general health.

In 2022, he was appointed as the Deputy Clinical Director (Dental) for Nuffield Holdings and in 2024 he was then appointed full Clinical Director (Dental). His work involves leading dentists to pursue clinical excellence including, but not limited to, managing complications, education and training, handling patient complaints, operations and administrative duties.

Dr Faisal has a strong interest in public health; he believes that reducing dental disease experience is important for the social mobility of an individual. His ultimate goal is to restore function and confidence in his patients so they are better able to climb the social ladder.

Dr Faisal is passionate about community activism. He serves actively in the Grassroots organisation under the People’s Association, as the assistant secretary of the Citizen’s Consultative Committee, and is also a member of the Health and Wellness thrust. His work in the community involves curating community messages and organising various events to bring government policy to the people, and at the same time providing feedback on municipal matters. In addition to the grassroots, he is also a member of the IMDA’s Programmes Advisory Committee for English Language programmes and a board member of the historic Angullia Mosque.

Dr Faisal is happily married with two children, and his hobbies include music and (before his knee injury) Muay Thai!
